Position Summary:<\/strong><\/p>
Due to ongoing growth, Trulioo is seeking a business-minded Legal Counsel who thrives in a fast-paced and collaborative environment to join our team. You will play a key role in supporting critical business functions by negotiating commercial agreements and partnering with internal stakeholders to progress key deals and enable growth and innovation objectives.<\/p>
You will take ownership of day-to-day commercial matters and contribute to the improvement of internal legal processes as the team continues to scale. This role offers strong exposure to cross-functional work and the opportunity to operate as a partner to the business. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing multiple priorities, demonstrates sound judgment and provides practical, solutions-oriented guidance. You bring a low-ego, team-first mindset, take pride in your contributions and are motivated by the opportunity to grow alongside a high-performing, high-impact team. <\/p>
This will be a full-time, permanent position working out of the Vancouver office on a hybrid model (3-days per week in the office).<\/p>
What You’ll Be Doing:<\/strong><\/p>
- Negotiate and manage complex commercial agreements across a global customer and supplier base.<\/p><\/li>
- Provide clear, sound, timely and practical legal advice to internal stakeholders.<\/p><\/li>
- Collaborate with internal teams to structure and negotiate new business deals.<\/p><\/li>
- Exercise sound judgment on when to make independent decisions and when to seek guidance<\/p><\/li>
- Identify opportunities to improve standard agreements and processes to increase efficiency and consistency.<\/p><\/li>
- Stay up to date on current laws and best practices as they relate to Trulioo to mitigate risk.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>
  What You’ll Bring:<\/strong><\/p>
  - LL.B. or J.D. degree (or equivalent).<\/p><\/li>
  - Good standing with a Canadian Law Society.<\/p><\/li>
  - 4+ years of experience gained at a top tier law firm and/or relevant in-house experience.<\/p><\/li>
  - Flexible, collaborative and adaptable working style.<\/p><\/li>
  - Growth-oriented mindset and a natural curiosity to tackle challenges.<\/p><\/li>
  - Ability to multiple files and pivot as necessary to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing environment.<\/p><\/li>
  - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.<\/p><\/li>
  - Excellent communication skills, strong business acumen, sound judgement, and solid negotiation skills.<\/p><\/li>
  - Commitment to excellence and a strong sense of accountability.<\/p><\/li>
  - Experience supporting commercial transactions in a fast-paced or high-growth environment is an asset.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>
